Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has appointed Benibo Anabraba as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
Before his appointment, Anabraba served as the Commissioner for Lands and Survey under Governor Fubara’s administration.
Anabraba held the position prior to the declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State six months ago.

It would be recalled that President Bola Tinubu had declared an emergency rule in the state, during which he suspended Governor Fubara and the entire State House of Assembly.
The President also appointed Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (rtd) as Sole Administrator to oversee the state’s affairs during the period.
Following the completion of the emergency administration, President Tinubu ordered Fubara’s reinstatement as governor, paving the way for a restructuring of the state’s executive cabinet.
