Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has reiterated his loyalty to the All Progressives Congress, APC, dismissing reports suggesting otherwise as false and misleading.
Fubara made the clarification on Wednesday after inspecting the newly reconstructed Rivers State Psychiatric Hospital, which has been converted into a general hospital in Rumuigbo, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state.
The governor said there was no truth in claims circulating on social media that he had shifted allegiance, stressing that he remains a committed member of the APC and fully aligned with the party’s interests.

He urged members of the public to disregard the rumours and avoid misinterpretations of his political position.
Speaking on the hospital project, Fubara explained that the decision to upgrade the facility was informed by the lack of accessible healthcare services in the area, following an earlier assessment visit.
According to him, residents previously had to travel long distances to access major treatment, with the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital serving as the closest option.
Fubara described the completion of the project as a fulfilment of his administration’s promise, adding that it reflects his commitment to improving healthcare delivery and the welfare of residents in Rivers State.
