Fubara: Timi Frank urges Tinubu to sack Wike as minister

Timi Frank, who served as a former Deputy National Publicity Secretary for the All Progressives Congress (APC), has issued a call for President Bola Tinubu to immediately fire Nyesom Wike from his position as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Wike is being accused of being the mastermind behind a plot to remove Governor Siminilaye Fubara of Rivers State from office.

Frank criticized the actions of the police, which included the use of tear gas and the dumping of water on Fubara, in a statement that was released on Tuesday.

As a result, he demanded that the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, immediately dismiss the Commissioner of Police in Rivers because his personnel had engaged in partisan activity against the elected Governor of the State.

According to what Frank said, “Already Wike has begun demolishing houses and revoking ownership of landed property in Abuja to enrage Nigerians, cause Tinubu to be hated, and portray the APC’s administration as being wicked and anti-people.”

“By the time Tinubu comes to his senses, it will be too late because Wike will have dismantled his government in order to clear the way for him to run for president in 2027,” Wike said. “Tinubu will have lost his chance.”

“The only thing Wike is interested in is governance, and he has already begun the campaign for the presidency in 2027.” Therefore, he is in a very difficult situation, and he is prepared to do anything in order to win over Tinubu. On the other hand, he is planning to bring down the administration if they do not call him to order.

Frank emphasized that it had come to the point where it was necessary to fire Wike in order to prevent him from bringing disgrace to Tinubu’s government and damaging the APC.

He continued by saying, “If Wike loves Tinubu and believes in his administration, let him officially join the APC and become a card-carrying member of the party. This is the only way.” But he has been steadfast in his refusal to do so because he is intent on bringing down the APC in order to pave the way for him to run for president on the banner of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2027. Because of his nefarious plans, he has chosen not to switch his allegiance to the APC.

“Tinubu and the APC should not only be cautious, but they should immediately call on Wike to put an end to this insanity in the state of Rivers; otherwise, it will backfire.”

“Wike led a campaign for Fubara and asserted that the latter was the most qualified candidate for the position of governor among all of the other candidates. But all of a sudden, Fubara has become his enemy. This is due to the fact that Fubara is no longer following orders from him, and instead views him as a dictator who is after Rivers’ money.

In addition, he issued a call to all of the governors in the country, regardless of party affiliation, to mobilize support for their counterpart in Rivers State in his effort to put an end to Wike’s dictatorship and Godfatherism in Rivers State.
