Nyesom Wike, minister of the FCT, has declared that he is powerless without the support of his constituents.
Wike stated once he loses his base as a politician, he has lost his relevance politically.
The former governor of Rivers State has stated that he will not be disturbed by the slander directed at him.

On Tuesday in Abuja, while hosting South-South leaders in his office, Wike emphasized the importance of doing the right thing.
Wike said, “We all want to keep our political framework, and we all want to stay politically relevant.
Is it not the way your government is set up? Do you plan on letting somebody completely sideline you? Everyone has their own foundation. If you take away my support, then I have no political standing, right?
According to rumors, Wike and Sim Fubara, governor of Rivers State, have fallen out of favor.
As a result, there was a move to impeach Fubara in the Rivers State Assembly.
It is believed that Wike’s allies in the legislature were behind the efforts to impeach Fubara.
