Fulham are plotting a surprise move for Manchester United winger Nani, according to the Metro.
.
The Portuguese winger has been linked with a loan switch to former side Sporting Lisbon over the last couple of days, however it now appears that Fulham are also interested in signing the 27-year-old Manchester United star.
.
Fulham head coach Rene Meulensteen would be willing to take the Manchester United outcast to Craven Cottage if David Moyes did make Nani available for transfer.
.
Meulensteen worked with Nani for a number of years during his time at the club so knows all about the Portuguese international’s qualities.
.
The Dutchman is desperate to strengthen his squad before the window slams shut on January 31, as the west London outfit have struggled for form this season.
.
Nani, who signed a new five-year deal at the start of September, has not played since the beginning of December as he is currently nursing a hamstring injury.
.
Anderson, who was signed in 2007 along with Nani, also appears to be heading for the Old Trafford exit door as reports suggest he has agreed a deal with Serie A outfit Fiorentina.
