Nollywood actress Debbie Shokoya has come out to hail her colleague Funke Akindele for promoting her newly-released movie, “Scars.” She recently shared a screenshot of their chat where she told Funke Akindele that the film was not doing well on YouTube.
Flaunting another screenshot of the filmmaker putting up the movie’s poster on her Instagram story to promote it, Shokoya asked Nigerians to help her pray for Funke Akindele.

According to her, after telling Funke that her latest movie isn’t doing well on YouTube, Funke immediately shared the project with her fans to increase her views.
“Help me drop prayers for this amazing woman! @funkejenifaakindele Ma’am, you will never be found wanting!
I just sat down on the sofa this afternoon and the Lord put it in my heart to DM @funkejenifaakindele. I gathered courage to do so… She replied immediately and was willing to do this for me!” she wrote.
Debbie further noted that Funke’s gesture was so heartwarming, stressing that it means a lot to her and her brand.
The moviestar concluded by saying that the gesture is just one of the many good things Akindele has done for her.
“God bless you my woman. May you never labour in vain! May you not stress before you receive! You poured comforting water on my soul and it means so much to me and my brand.
This is actually the least you have done towards me, but I promise not to cast it. God bless you ma! Keep motivating and keep inspiring. Oju oni ti yin lailai,” she added.
