Gilmour Boosted His Reputation At The Euros – Kovacic

Chelsea youngster, Billy Gilmour will be an important player for the club in the near future, Mateo Kovacic has said. He recently revealed that Gilmour definitely enhanced his reputation at Euro 2020 with Scotland.

According to him, he has already spoken with Billy to tell him he had a positive outing for his country at the tournament even if Scotland exited the competition early.

He added that Gilmour‘s qualities cannot be brought into question and he sees him having a bright future.

His words, “Unfortunately I didn’t get the chance to play against Billy but I did talk with him on the phone as soon as it came out that he was positive.”

“Of course I was very sad about that because he is doing excellently and he is my team-mate. I felt sad for him.”

“He has had an excellent season and his qualities cannot even be brought into question. He is still a young player but he has played a lot of good matches for Chelsea and for his national team.”
