Bola Tinubu, the current president, met with his predecessor, Goodluck Jonathan, in the State House on Tuesday.
The purpose of Jonathan’s visit, as Head of the ECOWAS Mediation Team to Mali, was to update the president on several continental problems, he told reporters following the meeting.
‘I came to brief the president on various continental and subcontinental entities,’ he explained.
In addition to my role as chair of the West African Elders Forum, I also serve as an ECOWAS mediator for Mali. So, I talk to different presidents about issues that span both the continent and the subregion.
On June 13th, not long after Bola Tinubu assumed the presidency, Jonathan paid a visit to him at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
