Kebbi State Governor, Dr Nasir Idris, has declared that no individual or coalition can prevent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu from securing a second term in office in 2027.
Speaking in Birnin Kebbi on Tuesday, the governor insisted that despite mounting opposition, Tinubu would return to the Presidency “peacefully and freely.”
Governor Idris made the remarks while receiving the Iyaloja-General of Nigeria and first daughter of the President, Chief Mujidat Folasade Tinubu-Ojo, who paid a condolence visit at the Government House following the death of the Emir of Zuru, retired Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Sani Sami.

He assured that the people of Kebbi State remained firmly committed to supporting President Tinubu’s second-term ambition, citing the projects and developmental initiatives already facilitated by the President in the state.
“The leadership style of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu is one that benefits Kebbi State and Nigeria at large. Our people have no option but to stand solidly behind him,” Governor Idris said.
In her remarks, Tinubu-Ojo explained that her visit was primarily to commiserate with the governor, the family of the late Emir, and the people of Kebbi State.
“The purpose of our visit is to condole with the family members of the late Emir of Zuru, the Kebbi State Governor, and the good people of the state on the passing of an elder statesman. We pray to Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him Al-Jannatul Firdausi,” she stated.
A statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Malam Ahmed Idris, confirmed that Tinubu-Ojo also prayed for strength and comfort for the bereaved family and the entire people of Zuru Emirate.
