The appointment of members of non-statutory bodies, chairman, secretary, and members of Local Government Education bodies has been given the go-ahead by Ademola Adeleke, the governor of Osun State.
In a statement that was released on Thursday, Adeleke gave instructions that the appointments begin their terms without further delay.
The governor also instructed the newly appointed officials to ensure that the rule of law, due process, and regulations regarding procurement be adhered to in everything that they do.

The appointments will become effective immediately. Adeleke charged the newly appointed individuals, saying, “I charge the newly appointed individuals to strictly observe rule of law, due process, and procurement laws in all of their doings.”
Prior to that, the governor had appointed chairmen and vice chairmen to non-statutory boards.
Osun State University, also known as UNIOSUN, as well as the University of Ilesa, also known as UNILESA, as well as the Osun State Polytechnic in Iree, the Osun State College of Technology in Esa-Oke, the Osun State College of Education in Ila-Orangun, and the Osun State College of Health Technology in Ilesa are all represented on the boards.
Others include the Local Government Service Commission, the Hospital Management Board, the Teaching Service Commission, the Osun State Broadcasting Corporation, the Osun State Pilgrim Welfare Board (both the Muslim and Christian wings), the Osun State Council for Art and Culture, the Osun State Tourism Board, the Osun Internal Revenue Service, and the Osun State Water Corporation.
In addition, the list of those who serve on the Local Government Education Boards for each of the 30 local governments was made available.
