Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to sustaining zero tolerance for insecurity across the state.
Speaking during a meeting with the Elders Consultative Forum in Birnin Kebbi, the governor emphasized that lasting peace and security can only be achieved through collective efforts involving government institutions, security agencies, traditional rulers, religious leaders, and citizens.
Idris disclosed that his administration has implemented several strategic measures to strengthen the state’s security architecture.

These include the establishment of a State Security Committee chaired by the governor, improved intelligence gathering, investment in technology-driven security operations, and the creation of additional Forward Operational Bases (FOBs) in vulnerable communities.
According to him, the proactive measures are already yielding positive results, citing a decline in kidnapping incidents and other criminal activities, particularly in Kebbi South, as well as enhanced surveillance efforts to prevent infiltration into Kebbi North.
“Our commitment to peace is total, and we will continue to invest in security to protect the lives and property of our citizens,” Idris assured.
