Taraba State’s Governor Agbu Kefas is saddened by the passing of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman Victor Bala Kona.
His Special Adviser on Media and Digital Communications, Emmanuel Bello, sent a statement to the press on Sunday in Jalingo, the State capital, in which he lamented the “sad news of the passage of the former Chairman of our great party, Chief Victor Bala Kona,” which he described as “such a painful one.”
And, he continued, “We didn’t only lose a political icon, but a father and a consummate family man.”

The Governor expressed shock at the news, stating that his passing came at a time when the state desperately needed his years of experience and expertise.
The party’s leadership also released a statement expressing their sorrow over the loss of their former chairman.
According to the Party, the late Kona served as chairman of the Party from March 2012 until August 2020, during which time he “tirelessly for the growth and sustained leadership streak of the party in the State.”
The People’s Democratic Party released a statement saying, “his loss at this time of our political journey is sad and colossal as the government and the party that he had assiduously worked for would have continued to benefit from his fountain of wisdom and knowledge.”
The party’s press secretary, Andeta’rang Irammae, released a statement acknowledging his absence and its impact on both the State and the nation.
