In a heartwarming display of camaraderie and respect, Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has publicly pledged to continue seeking the counsel and guidance of his predecessor, Udom Emmanuel.
The Governor made this declaration during the Special Christmas Day ceremony held at the United Evangelical Church (UEC), Awa Iman in Onna Local Government Area of the state.
Governor Eno emphasized that there exists no political discord between him and former Governor Emmanuel, who played a pivotal role in his ascension to power.

He expressed gratitude for Emmanuel’s unyielding support and credited him with instilling valuable leadership qualities during his tenure.
Reflecting on the enduring influence of his predecessor, Governor Eno stated, “My predecessor has never put me under pressure since leaving office in May.
On the contrary, we are the ones chasing him to ask him to always come around to advise us.”
He further added, “You may no longer be governor today, but you will always be my governor and leader.
You have a clear understanding of how these things work, and I will always be your student.”
The Governor’s remarks underscore the spirit of collaboration and continuity in governance, highlighting the importance of drawing wisdom from past leaders for the benefit of the state and its people.
