Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will remain in power until 2031, affirming his support for the President to complete a second term in office.
Governor Eno, a member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), made the remark on Tuesday during the flag-off of the Akwa Ibom section of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway project.
Describing Tinubu as a “people-loving President,” Eno praised the administration’s commitment to infrastructure and national development.

“Let me end by assuring that our President, our people-loving President, will complete eight years because we are going to stand by him,” the governor stated.
“My leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will not allow the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway to become another East-West Road. He is a father and a promise keeper.”
Governor Eno also offered prayers for President Tinubu, asking God to grant him good health to complete the projects his administration has embarked upon. He further pledged continued cooperation with the federal government.
Eno’s endorsement comes amid internal tensions within the PDP, as debates over alliances ahead of the 2027 general election continue to intensify.
Recently, PDP chieftain and former presidential aspirant, Dele Momodu, suggested that the party’s Governors’ Forum may be indirectly working in favor of President Tinubu by distancing themselves from the opposition coalition spearheaded by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
Atiku, alongside former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi and ex-Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai, recently announced the formation of a coalition to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2027.
However, following a meeting in Ibadan, the PDP Governors’ Forum declared it would not be part of the coalition, sparking speculation about internal divisions and shifting allegiances within the party.
