In a statement released on Friday in Lagos, Oluwagbemi emphasized that the workshop held was a pivotal step in fortifying Nigeria’s commitment to sustainable strategies, propelling the nation towards a greener and more sustainable future.
This collaborative effort signifies Nigeria’s dedication to aligning with global objectives related to sustainable energy access. The workshop delved into critical subjects such as the Nigeria Energy Transition Plan, Nigeria E-bus strategy, Solar Empowerment for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, and Nigeria’s Carbon Market Activation Plan. Oluwagbemi highlighted that the event followed an initial meeting in Abuja, Nigeria, between SEforAll CEO Ogunbiyi and PCNGi Chairman, Adedeji.
Moreover, the workshop aimed to not only showcase progress but also foster collaboration and outline concrete steps for impactful partnerships between SEforALL and FIRS/PCNGi. Oluwagbemi stressed that the initiatives presented during the workshop are instrumental in steering Nigeria towards a more sustainable future, in line with global goals and impacting the nation’s development landscape.

The significance of PCNGi in guiding Nigeria towards a greener, more sustainable future was underscored during the workshop. Oluwagbemi emphasized that the committee’s active participation in the event reflects its dedication to fostering collaboration among key stakeholders. The vision of the committee involves integrating sustainable practices into Nigeria’s energy landscape, contributing to economic growth, environmental conservation, and enhanced energy access.
Oluwagbemi reiterated the commitment to ongoing collaboration among all parties involved, aiming to drive sustainable solutions that contribute to Nigeria’s broader development goals. As Nigeria progresses in sustainable development, PCNGI remains a driving force, ensuring that the nation’s green growth goals are not only met but exceeded. The committee envisions a future where sustainable practices are deeply embedded in Nigeria’s energy sector, playing a pivotal role in economic development, environmental preservation, and improved energy accessibility.
