The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has declared that it will win the governorship elections on November 11 in the states of Imo, Bayelsa, and Kogi due to the widespread support it enjoys among the population.
At the Abuja inauguration of the PDP’s National Campaign Council for the election in the three states, acting PDP National Chairman Umar Damagum made the remarks.
Damagum told the council that the three states were PDP strongholds and that they should be won by using legal means.

He told me, “Go tell ’em this isn’t what we signed up for, and that God, in his infinite mercy, always gives us a chance to alter the course of history, and right now is that chance.
Bayelsa, Imo, and Kogi will all be ours. These are all PDP countries. They disappeared, but there has always been a PDP governor in Bayelsa.
Ademola Adeleke, governor of Osun State and head of the Kogi State campaign team, echoed this optimism, saying that he is confident the PDP will win the governorships in all three states.
Adeleke thinks the party has a “very great” chance of winning in the states of Imo, Bayelsa, and Kogi.
