The Command also revealed that the yet-to-be identified gunmen stormed the institute on Wednesday night; abducting an unknown number of persons which include students and staff to an unknown location.

“It is true, there was kidnapping, and the police are on the trail of the kidnappers. Three persons were kidnapped, one is a staff while the other two are students,” he added.

Meanwhile, it was reported that the latest abduction is coming barely a couple of months after the abduction and murder of Prince Dennis Abuda; a US-based Nigerian who had visited the country for the Yuletide holidays.

Prince Abuda was abducted while making the trip to catch his return flight to the US.

However, his abductors shot him dead after he slumped as a result of fatigue while he was being led into the bush. In spite of his death, the gunmen made away with the sum of N10m paid by his family as ransom.
