Jude Oguejiofor, the 2023 House of Representatives candidate from Anambra State, has been killed by gunmen.
Oguejiofor, a lawyer from Orsumoghu in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State, contested for the Ihiala Federal Constituency House of Representatives seat in the 2023 general elections under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
According to sources, Oguejiofor was abducted around 1 am some days ago, along with his brother, by the gunmen.

The incident occurred in Orsumoghu Community, where they had gone to visit their aged parents.
However, the gunmen later released his brother, a medical doctor resident overseas, unhurt.
A source close to the family, who requested anonymity, revealed that the gunmen accused Oguejiofor of writing petitions against them and their activities in the community.
“They said he had been writing petitions against them to the Anambra State Government,” the source said.
As of the time of this report, there has been no official reaction from the Anambra State Police command.
However, a police officer who spoke on condition of anonymity confirmed the development.
