Naija Ninja lead act, Sound Sultan is a year older today.
Born Lanre Fasasi on November 27, 1976, Sound Sultan needs no introduction after spending over 15 years in the mainstream entertainment industry.
After his emergence with the huge song ‘BODMAS’, an instant hit among music lovers, Sound Sultan quickly established himself as a witty entertainer with talents in singing, rapping, and comedy using lessons from his elder brother, Baba Dee who taught him the ropes in the industry.
With 6 albums spread over his ten years and the half old career, Sound Sultan is no doubt a veteran in the industry whose prolific style has endeared him to many. Sound Sultan is also reputed to have given pop duo, P-square their first major gig performance. Formerly signed to Kennis Music who published his first 4 albums, Sound Sultan in 2007 founded Naija Ninja alongside Baba Dee.
The label is home to Young GreyC, Karma da Rapper, Shawn and Blacka.
The company has also gone into film-making, releasing its first movie ‘Head Gone’ in 2014. Sound Sultan is also a co-owner of basketball team, Lagos Islander.
The ‘People Bad’ singer is married to Farida Fasasi and the couple is blessed with 3 kids.
