Last month, two people were reportedly left dead and 11 others injured in a clash between two communities, Ogbe-Ijoh and Aladja, in Delta state. According to the reports, the violence was caused by a land dispute between the two communities.
Five Star music artiste, Harrysong has however revealed that his grandmother was almost lynched during the same clash last month.
According to him, the hoodlums had proceeded towards his family house, where his grandmother was, to tear it down. Fortunately, a neighbour and some close friends were able to rescue her out of the area before the angry youths reached her.
“When I first heard of the clash, I feared for my aged grandmother’s life, because some who couldn’t escape before the violence worsened were burnt inside their houses” he said.
The ‘Reggae blues’ crooner also revealed he lost some of his relatives to the violent clash.
The Gala ambassador also revealed he has planned a peace concert on July 31, 2016 with the help of some top government officials of Delta state.
Recently, Harrysong was called out by fans for posting a super cute photo on his Instagram page.
Fans and followers trolled Harrysong for using lipstick and foundation in a promo photo. Not going down without a fight the crooner was quick to defend himself by asking those who wrote mean comments about him to drop their addresses as well.
“This is my page… You’re a Fan… A follower of the brand Harrysong? Thanks.. I love you too but when you have the guts to come here and talk anyhow, please have that same guts to put down your address… I swear, I’ll love to know you better, #One Delta #HarrysongPeaceConcert,” he wrote.
Harrysong is currently signed to record label, Five Star Music after a stint with QuestionMark Entertainment.
