Marcus Rashford is making sure he stays at the peak of fitness as he enjoys a few days off before the World Cup this summer.
The Manchester United forward shared a picture on Instagram of him doing shuttle runs in just his shorts and trainers while on holiday in the sun.
Rashford, one of the 23-man England squad for the tournament in Russia, captioned the picture: ‘Few days rest to recharge but keeping conditioned, big summer ahead.’
Rashford will be aiming to rediscover his touch before England’s opening game against Tunisia, after a disappointing campaign for Manchester United.
His United manager, Jose Mourinho, was particularly scathing about the 20-year-old after his poor performance in the FA Cup final defeat to Chelsea.
Former United midfielder Paul Scholes has even admitted he worries about Rashford’s future at United if he cannot impress Mourinho.
Scholes told talkSport: ‘These young players need an arm around them these days, they need a bit of love at times and they aren’t really getting that. Would they improve if they get that? I hope that they would.’
