Real Madrid forward, Eden Hazard made a mistake when he left Chelsea, Geremi has said. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, the Belgian was like a god at Chelsea, and leaving all that for a supposed greener pasture was definitely not a good move.
He added that the Chelsea he left are not even beneath Real Madrid right now in the world of football.
His words, “A very good question! This is why it is sometimes difficult to understand football. Eden Hazard at Chelsea was brilliant, fantastic. For me, if I was his agent at the time when Real Madrid came to sign him, I would not have accepted. He was almost like a God at Chelsea.”
“I don’t think Chelsea of today are below Real Madrid in any way. Chelsea are at the same level in everything. If Chelsea were to play against Real Madrid, they will go with the same attitude and without fear. They have a strong squad, big names. If it was me, I would have stayed at Chelsea. They would have given him the same money, the same facilities. It was a big mistake.”
“Unfortunately it hasn’t gone well for him. I don’t understand because I was expecting him to continue in a good way. Sometimes there are things that you cannot explain. I don’t know if he has changed his attitude, maybe motivation, mentality. You have to try and find a solution. My advice would have been to go back to Chelsea.”
“He is not young now. It would be about his ambition and motivation. Any club that wants to sign him would have to look at it. Those who want to sign him have maybe asked and know enough. They have to ask about him, his family and know what has happened in his head. These are the questions that you have to find answers to before signing.”
