Popular singer, Ruger has come out to say that he became toxic when he was just six years old. He recently had his say while speaking during an interview on the Bro Bants podcast, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, he was actually in love with an older woman who playfully called him her boyfriend, leading him to conclude that they were an item, but his tender heart got broken when he saw the same woman sleeping with another man through her window.
Ruger added that the experience was so damaging to his mental health that it made him connect to Styl-Plus’ “Imagine That” almost immediately, since the lyrics of the song started speaking to him directly.
His words, “The last time that I experienced heartbreak, I was very, very young. There was this aunty that I liked, she used to call me ‘my boyfriend.’ So, I assumed that she was my woman. I was just 6 years old.
I got heartbroken because one day, I saw some guy smashing her through her window. The guy was t*****g her up. I cried. I was traumatised. I started singing ‘Imagine That’ by Styl-Plus. That was what started my toxicity. That experience broke my heart.”
