Jose Mourinho has handed Henrikh Mkhitaryan his first Premier League start for Manchester United since Sept. 10 for the trip to Everton on Sunday.
Mkhitaryan last started in a league game during United’s 2-1 defeat to Manchester City nearly three months ago — a game in which he was substituted off at half-time.
After falling down the pecking order under Mourinho, Mkhitaryan has since returned to the first-team squad in recent weeks and impressed when starting in the 4-0 Europa League win over Feyenoord and 4-1 EFL Cup victory against West Ham.
Matteo Darmian and Paul Pogba are the two players to come into the United team following that cup win over West Ham on Wednesday, with Luke Shaw and the suspended Wayne Rooney making way.
Eric Bailly, meanwhile, is on the United bench for the Everton game after recovering from injury.
Everton make three changes from the side that lost 1-0 to Southampton last week with Phil Jagielka, Ross Barkley and Aaron Lennon dropping out and Ramiro Funes Mori, Tom Cleverley and Kevin Mirallas coming in.
Manchester United XI: De Gea, Valencia, Jones, Rojo, Darmian, Carrick, Herrera, Mkhitaryan, Pogba, Martial, Ibrahimovic
Manchester United substitutes: Romero, Bailly, Blind, Fellaini, Lingard, Mata, Rashford
Everton XI: Stekelenburg, Baines, Williams, Funes Mori, Coleman, Barry, Cleverley, Gueye, Bolasie, Mirallas, Lukaku
Everton substitutes: Robles, Jagielka, Deulofeu, Barkley, McCarthy, Valencia, Holgate
