The Chairman of House Committee on Rural Development, Hon (Dr) Ladi Adebutu, at St Peter’s Anglican Church, Imagbon Ijebu, commended the church for its prayers, impact in the society and for addressing the spiritual needs of the worshipers and the people of Imagbon community.
He made this remark at the 125th anniversary and fundraising of the church held on October 15, 2017. Hon Seye Sonuga, a political leader and Senior Legislative Aide, represented Hon Adebutu at the august event.
Hon Sonuga while congratulating the church of God on the anniversary, described Hon Ladi as a man who feared and respected God, as such, considered it the greatest honour to be part of the celebration of God’s church. Sonuga called on the christians to continue to trust in God and remain steadfast in prayer and fasting.

Sonuga used the moment to encourage the congregation and guests seated to avail themselves the given opportunity to register with INEC for their permanent voters cards. This, he believed, would guarantee them the chance to partake in all democratic and civil obligations as deemed fit.
Appreciating the gesture, the Bishop of Anglican Church, Ijebu Diocese, Rt Revd (Dr) Ayo Awosoga thanked Hon Adebutu for honouring God and assured him of the church’s support at all times. Venerable Lawson Olowofoyeku is the Archdeacon/Vicar of St Peter’s Church, Imagbon Ijebu.
