Collaborative Applications Company Will Discuss the Importance of Making Collaboration Easy and Accessible for All
London, 19 August 2014 Hornbill, today announced that it will be exhibiting at the Gartner Portals, Content & Collaboration Summit, in London on the 15th and 16th of September, where it will demonstrate its new Hornbill collaborative platform and collaborative business applications. Hornbill believes that organisations of any size should be able to modernize and invigorate their workforces and processes by introducing collaborative business applications that are designed and built around the way people actually work.
“Workers’ expectations of IT have already been colored thanks to the growth of ubiquitous, easy to use and powerful consumer social applications” said Gerry Sweeney, founder and CEO of Hornbill. “Essentially, business users expect the same familiar ease of use and ability to communicate and share information at work as they get when using these applications. Yet rather than follow this example, too many business applications simply bolt on an activity stream and jump onto the ‘social business’ bandwagon. If you are serious about building collaborative applications, then the only way to really deliver is to build a platform and tightly integrated collaborative applications that are underpinned with powerful business process automation and task orchestration capabilities.”
Hornbill will be demonstrating the Hornbill collaboration platform and business applications. It will show how a purpose-built platform and collaborative applications can help solve many of the issues businesses have traditionally faced with collaboration, such as encouraging uptake by workers and fitting collaboration into business processes.
Attendees of the Portals, Content & Collaboration Summit will have the opportunity to learn about the full potential of new technologies and how to implement them successfully to meet the expectations of employees and customers. Conference tracks will educate on creating seamless user experiences, promoting social collaboration and workforce effectiveness in the social, mobile and digital workplace. Guest keynote speakers include renowned futurist and innovation strategist, Anders Sorman-Nilsson; and Vice Chairman of Ogilvy Group, Rory Sutherland. Gartner analysts including Managing VP Susan Landry and Research VP Jeffrey Man will also deliver keynotes at the summit.
The summit will be held on the 15 – 16 September 2014, at the Lancaster London, Hyde Park, London, UK. You can follow Hornbill at the summit via Twitter on @hornbill, and using the hashtag #GartnerPCC.
