How to carry out WhatsApp media, links, docs search

So, in case it was a photo you are looking for, you need to go to the three dots on that particular chat in your WhatsApp window and in the dropdown, you click on Media, Links, Docs tab.

Once that opens, you click on the Media tab right at the top. You will also see the other 2 tabs too – docs and links.

Now, all you have to do is spend some time scrolling for the media you are searching for.

You see, WhatsApp provides end-to-end encryption of your chats and they are safe. However, what happens to your old chats?

These are backed up onto the cloud and there, if authorities want, they can get a warrant to get hold of them all. They can also be hacked into by cybercriminals.

This applies to Google Drive as well as iCloud. There is no escape at the moment.

However, in a big relief, WhatsApp is working on a feature where these chats too will get encrypted before they are backed up onto the cloud.
