Hugo Lloris will be out of action for at least 14 days after suffering an adductor injury in Wednesday’s 3-1 Champions League win over Real Madrid.
Deschamps told reporters that Lloris, who usually captains France, had suffered “a tear of the big adductor.”
The France coach added: “He has undergone tests this morning, he’ll be out for at least 15 days.”
Lloris played the full 90 minutes as Tottenham defeated European champions Madrid at Wembley, but after the game he said “I felt something when I landed” after jumping to claim a cross.
