Minister of Defence, Lt.-Gen. Aliyu Gusau (rtd), on Tuesday said he was leaving public service a fulfilled person after putting in 41 years. He was appointed Minister of Defence by President Goodluck Jonathan on March 5, 2014.
Speaking at a valedictory session in his honour at the Ministry of Defence, Gusau said he was leaving contented and would go on to face his private business.
“I am happy that I met people who are dedicated to the service of the nation in the ministry of defence.
“As a retired military general and a highly-sought-after intelligence agent, I would often make my service available to the ministry of defence and the country whenever I am consulted,” he promised.
