Reality star Kim Kardashian has just revealed she is not a feminist as she doesn’t like labels.
The E! star was a speaker during the BlogHer 16 conference in Los Angeles on Friday, August 5, 2016 revealing details of herself.
Speaking to BlogHer co-founder and SheKnows Media’s Chief Community Officer Elisa Camahort Page, Kardashian also opened up on her status as a feminist, how she responds to negative attention and her increased passion for social justice issues.
On feminism she said, “I don’t think that I am [a feminist]. I don’t like labels. I do what makes me happy and I want women to be confident. I am so supportive of women. I love nothing more than when I’m with all my friends and I love to support women but I’m not a ‘free the nipple-type” of girl. If you’re not comfortable with that, don’t do it! I’m not about the labels. Just be you and be confident in you.”
Talking about exposing her body: “Because I feel good about myself! I mean, after you have a kid and now after you have two kids there is a feeling. I mean, I lost 70 pounds. So when you dedicate yourself getting up every morning, wake up at six in the morning, feeding one baby, get to go work out for an hour, coming back, feeding another baby, my husband, and then come back… I’m like, ‘I have three people I have to take care of!’ You can just get so caught up in not wanting to be motivated. So I made it a really important thing for my confidence and for me to feel good. Have I posted a new selfie since I lost all my baby weight? I don’t think so!”
She also talked about raising her children outside of the spotlight, “I definitely am really protective of my life with the kids. You might see them on [Keeping Up With the Kardashians] a little bit, but not real stories about them… We just don’t make stories—Kourtney and I don’t makes stories really around our children. They’ll be there but if anything that’s a benefit because we get to spend more time with them.”
Recently, Kim showed off via her website, her six-months-old son closet which already boasts of custom designer pieces and a gold and diamond chain necklace.
Kim Kardashian and her husband Kanye welcomed their second child in December, 2015, they are also parents to two-year-old North West.
