Senator Samuel Anyanwu, the PDP candidate for governor of Imo State in the next election on November 11, 2023, claims to know how to end the state’s security crisis.
Additionally, he stated that he, his running mate, and their entire team are prepared to replace the current state government.
While in the Oguta local government area of the state, Anyanwu made this comment to local party leaders and members.
He reassured them, “Have no fear. Our forces are ready for battle. If everyone does their part, our votes will be safe and we will not be stopped. God has chosen now to use us to free Imo and restore her security.
The contender for governor condemned the recent mass killings and wanton destruction of property in Izombe and other parts of the LGA, blaming the state administration for sending security agents to target civilians.
As far as Anyanwu is concerned, the current administration has ignored Oguta and has kept the people in the dark with empty promises to improve the state of Oguta Lake.
When he becomes governor, however, he promises to offer the LGA enduring peace and progress.
“Under my leadership, we shall put God’s gifts to Oguta to good use. False promises regarding Oguta Lake must stop.
It was the candidate’s first official trip to the LGA since becoming the PDP’s nominee for governor in November.
The State Chairman, Chief Charles Ugwu, was represented by the State Organising Secretary, Nze Law Biaduo; acting State Secretary, and a number of other PDP leaders were also there with Senator Anyanwu and his Deputy, Jones Onyereri.
