Drake recently spoke about how he felt to win another Grammy award.
The rapper was a deserved winner in the best rap song category for God’s Plan.
His words, “I definitely did not think I was winning anything,” Drake said as he claimed his prize.
The Toronto-born rapper has skipped the Grammys before, and and it wasn’t clear if he’d be on hand tonight. But as he accepted his award, he addressed both music fans and his peers.
“The point is, you’ve already won if you have people who are singing your songs, word for word, if you’re a hero in your hometown,”
“If there’s people who have regular jobs who are coming out in the rain and snow, spending their hard-earned money to come to your shows, you don’t need this right here, I promise you, you already won.”
An Ariana Grande that failed to show up, after pulling out of the Grammys show last week after a disagreement with producers, won her first Grammy best pop vocal album for Sweetener.
