“Uyomeyo” singer, Teniola Apata a.k.a Teni has shared her reaction to not winning the 2019 BET Award for New International Act.
She missed out on the award to South African artiste, Sho Madjozi.
Speaking out on the loss, Teni jumped on social media to appreciate her fans for the love even if she failed to bag the award.
Her words, “TeamTeni we didn’t win the awards but we still won, to make it here and be amongst the greats was inspiring!! Congratulations to everyone. And thank you to everyone that keeps supporting me and my brand. One step at a time we will take this to the world.”
The BET Awards show took place in Los Angeles and Burna Boy was named Best International Act.
