Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has rejected the suggestion that he needs a new goalkeeper before the transfer window shuts. He recently defended Altay Bayindir, reiterating that he does not need a new goalie.
Speaking to the press, Amorim revealed that he is very happy with the three goalkeepers he has at the club.

According to him, even though Bayindir was clearly pushed before Rice‘s corner at Old Trafford, his goalie should’ve focused on pushing the ball, not the opponent close to him.
He stated that deciding to concentrate on the bodies in front of him led to the cheap goal MUFC conceded.
“I’m happy with the three goalkeepers.
He [Bayindir] chooses to get the ball, but he’s getting pushed. That is my feeling when I see the play.
You choose to push a player [out of the way] or to get the ball in that moment. He needs to use his hands to catch the ball, not push players. He chooses to push players and let the ball pass,” he said.
The Portuguese manager confirmed that Onana was fit to play against the Gunners, stressing that his insufficient training time ruled him out of the game.
Amorim concluded by saying that it was too early to play Onana because he only just returned from injury.
“I didn’t drop Onana from the squad. It’s not the case of dropping Ornana. It’s not putting Andre Onana in just one week without seeing the game, without time, with training.
Tom [Heaton] and Bayindir, during the preseason, they did a good job,” he added.
