I Didn’t Expect Liverpool Fans To Chant For My Sack – Pep Guardiola

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has come out to hit back at the Anfield crowd after they chanted he should be sacked in the morning. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.

According to him, Brighton fans chanted the same thing when he lost at the Amex days back, but he didn’t expect same chant at Anfield.

Pep, however, added that the banter is very much part of the game, and he completely understands the fans.

His words, “All the stadiums want to sack me, it started at Brighton (in a 2-1 loss at the Amex)! Maybe they are right with the results we’ve been having. I didn’t expect that at Anfield. They didn’t do it at 1-0, but at 2-0. Maybe they should have sung it in the past. I didn’t expect it from the people from Liverpool but it’s fine, it’s part of the game, and I understand completely. We’ve had incredible battles together. I have a respect for them.”
