Chelsea captain Reece James has said that he does not ask his sister, Lauren James, for winning advice. This comes as he prepares to lead England’s defensive line at the upcoming World Cup, and fans have been reacting.
Applauding Lauren’s international success with the Lionesses, the Blues skipper insisted that he has his own blueprint for success.

Reece added that despite the pressure that comes with a major international tournament, he remains confident in his own pedigree.
His words, “No, I don’t think so. Maybe if I’d never won anything [she would], but I’ve had winning experiences before, I know what it feels like and what it takes. I always knew that her level was to be on the big stage performing in the biggest games and I’m not surprised one bit. I’m proud to see her playing for Chelsea and representing England.”
On Tuchel, “We have a great relationship so I was happy I was working with someone again who knew me and knows how to get the best out of me. I think he’s one of the best managers. For me, he’s won at the highest level. He’s managed a number of world-class teams and I believe in him, his style of play and what he wants. He brings the best out of individuals and the team.
Many people doubted me and wrote me off. But [that] gave me a lot of fire to come back stronger. I always knew that I was good enough and I would be healthy again. It’s been on my mind since 2022, to be honest, because I missed out on [Qatar] and my dream is to play in the World Cup, to lift the World Cup and to help my country. Ever since then, I’ve had my eyes on this one and I’ve tried to do everything I can to work towards it.”
WOW.
Chelsea Football Club is an English professional football club based in Fulham, West London. Founded in 1905, they play their home games at Stamford Bridge.
The club competes in the Premier League, the top division of English football. They won their first major honour, the League championship, in 1955. The club won the FA Cup for the first time in 1970, their first European honour, the Cup Winners’ Cup, in 1971, and became the third English club to win the Club World Cup in 2022.
On 7 May 2022, Chelsea confirmed that terms have been agreed for a new ownership group, led by Todd Boehly, Clearlake Capital, Mark Walter and Hansjörg Wyss, to acquire the club. The group was later known as BlueCo.
The UK government approved the £4.25bn takeover, ending Abramovich’s 19-year ownership of the club. Bruce Buck, who served as chairman since 2003, was replaced by Boehly, while long-serving club director and de facto sporting director Marina Granovskaia left, as did Petr Čech from the role of technical and performance advisor.
