Roma manager, Claudio Ranieri as come out to say that the club is really close to announcing their coach for the 2025-26 season. This is coming amid links with Erik ten Hag, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, he has been working with sporting director, Florent Ghisolfi to recruit his successor, and they currently have 3 to 4 candidates in mind to take over.
Ranieri added that despite reading that he recently had dinner with Erik ten Hag, he doesn’t even know who the ex-MUFC boss is.
His words, “Ghisolfi and I have followed the English model. We started with seven or eight candidates and reduced the list to three or four. It is close, really close.”
On Ten Hag, “Do you believe that I don’t know him? I’ve never met him. I’ve read that I had dinner with him, but, believe me, I’ve never met him. I am convinced a good coach will arrive.”
