Jose Mourinho’s career as a manager began to dip after his unfortunate spell at Real Madrid, according to ESPN pundit, Steve Nicol.
Mourinho is presently searching for his next role in management after being fired by Manchester United in December.
Just yesterday, he said that in his time away from football he has already turned down three or four job offers because he wants to wait for a job that he knows he wants.
Steve has however spoken about Mourinho’s chances of getting a new job and suggested that his first dressing room fall-out in Real Madrid was the beginning of his struggles.
“He goes to Inter Milan and the players loved him, they were crying their eyes out when he left,”
“Then he goes to Real Madrid and it just fell apart halfway through, and it doesn’t seem to have recovered from there.
“This is based on halfway through his tenure at Real Madrid.
“It was the first time he had fallen out with a team with the majority of the players, particularly the more experienced players. It all crumbled, and that’s why they let him go.
“He didn’t speak to the press for three to six months in his last six months there, that shows how bad it was there.
“He moved on to Chelsea, started fine and then eventually the same thing happened, he fell out with all the players and it all fell apart.
“Then he went to Manchester United, the same thing again, starts well and everybody’s behind him, then all of a sudden the whole thing collapses and falls apart.
“I’m not so sure that this guy right now, with what he’s got going on in between his ears, is the great Jose Mourinho, it’s just a version of it for a period of time.
“I don’t see him getting another huge club job.”
