Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo has come out to hint at potentially linking up with Lionel Messi before their respective careers end. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, everyone knows about his immense affection for Argentina, and despite never visiting the country, he loves the nation because his wife is from there.
Ronaldo added that he has been invited to play in the Club World Cup for an Argentine club, but he is yet to decide.
His words, “You know I have a lot of affection for Argentina, my wife is from there.
I have already been invited to play in the Club World Cup for an Argentine club. You never know… the time is there. I am already 40 years old, but you never know. But I think it is very difficult. I have never been to Argentina, I want to go, I have a lot of affection for the Argentines.”

Ahead of the 2009–10 season, Ronaldo joined Real Madrid for a world record transfer fee at the time of £80 million (€94 million). His contract, which ran until 2015, was worth €11 million per year and contained a €1 billion buy-out clause.
