Manchester United legend, Gary Neville has come out to insist that he has no influence on Erik ten Hag’s future. This is coming after he met with the club owners over redeveloping Old Trafford, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, he has no say what happens to the manager amid the club’s poor run of form, and he only met with the decision makers to discuss the regeneration side of things.
Neville added that football issues were not even tabled at the recent general meeting.
His words, “I’m not on the inside of it, no I’m not. I went on Monday to meet them about the regeneration side. Football issues were not discussed at the meeting. Not at all.”

The following season, Manchester United claimed their first UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup title. That triumph allowed the club to compete in the European Super Cup for the first time, where United beat European Cup holders Red Star Belgrade 1–0 at Old Trafford. The club appeared in two consecutive League Cup finals in 1991 and 1992, beating Nottingham Forest 1–0 in the second to win that competition for the first time as well.
