Liverpool coach, Jurgen Klopp has said he hopes that Naby Keita’s injury is not a serious one after the ex Leipzig player was forced out of Wednesday’s Carabao Cup victory over Arsenal.
Liverpool defeated Arsenal in amazing fashion at Anfield, winning a penalty shootout after an entertaining 5-5 draw in 90 minutes.
However, the victory was dampened a bit by Keita’s injury, as the African player was lifted off the pitch in the 54th minute after slipping and picking up an apparent knock.
Reacting, Klopp hopes his player will not be out for a long time.
His words, “If Naby’s injury is not so serious, which I hope, then it was a nearly perfect night,”
“He felt a little bit. I saw it, he slipped when he lost the ball. He slipped away, I saw him limping afterwards and that’s why we did it.”
Congratz to Liverpool on their latest win.
