Chelsea forward Joao Pedro has expressed his delight following the arrival of Danny Welbeck at Stamford Bridge. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
Describing the veteran striker as a mentor who has shaped his career in England, Joao Pedro revealed that Welbeck will be a transformative presence for Chelsea on the pitch and inside the dressing room.
The Brazilian added that he is really looking forward to playing alongside the England international next season.
His words, “Personally, Danny is a very important person for me in life. When I came to England, I didn’t speak English, but he always tried to be around me to support me and help me develop.
This will now be the third time that we have played together and I think, as he did with me in the past, he will give support to everyone in the squad.
Danny is this guy; he is very helpful and wants the best for everyone around him and for the team. Everyone knows that he is a top player. I’m looking forward to playing alongside him again and I think he will be a very good person to have in the group.”

The UK government approved the £4.25bn takeover, ending Abramovich’s 19-year ownership of the club. Bruce Buck, who served as chairman since 2003, was replaced by Boehly, while long-serving club director and de facto sporting director Marina Granovskaia left, as did Petr Čech from the role of technical and performance advisor.
