Liverpool defender, Virgil van Dijk has come out to provide an update on his future at Anfield. This is coming as the Holland international nears free agency, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, he intends to reveal the conclusion when there is news because he really cannot talk about his personal conversations with the club.
Van Dijk added that the only thing he can say for now is that he loves Liverpool football club.
His words, “In the coming months we just have to give it our all. We are still active on three fronts and that is the primary goal I have in mind. I have very, very big plans in that area.
Unfortunately I can’t talk about personal conversations I have with the club. We’ve been talking for a while and the only thing I can say now is that I love this club. I–m very calm about the situation. As long as I’m calm about it, the fans can be too. If there’s news, you’ll hear about it. For now, I really don’t know where I will be playing next season, but again: I am calm about it.”

Left with an empty ground, Houlding founded Liverpool in 1892 and the club has played at Anfield ever since. The capacity of the stadium at the time was 20,000, although only 100 spectators attended Liverpool’s first match at Anfield.
