An old interview granted by Nigerian politician and billionaire businessman, Senator Ned Nwoko, has resurfaced online amid the ongoing marital crisis between him and Nollywood actress Regina Daniels. In the 2024 interview with Seun Okinbaloye, Nwoko confessed that he never married Regina Daniels out of love.
According to him, he didn’t fall in love with the moviestar before marrying her, and he only asked for her hand in marriage because his family pressured him to marry someone from his hometown.

Ned stated that he has never believed in dating before marriage, hence why he marries his wives within weeks of meeting them.
“For her particularly, I married her because she is from my place. I was under pressure from my family,” he said.
This interview is circulating 48 hours after explosive allegations surfaced online, with Regina accusing the politician of physical abuse, and Ned Nwoko responding by revealing that she is currently struggling with drug addiction.
In a previously granted BBC interview, Nwoko further explained that he met Regina for the first time when she visited his residence with her mother and siblings.
Confirming that he had no prior knowledge of her acting career before proposing, he noted that he believes in falling in love with your wife after marriage.
Nwoko concluded by reaffirming his commitment to polygamy, stressing that Regina was aware he might take more wives in the future because of his background and desire for more kids.
“We married within three weeks. I don’t believe in dating anybody to marry them.
When you marry them, you need to fall in love from within the marriage,” he added.
