Manchester United manager Michael Carrick has said that he is not against the upcoming protest by the club’s supporters against the ownership at Old Trafford. He recently had his say ahead of Sunday’s clash with Fulham in the Premier League, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, he and the players are definitely not offended by any anti-ownership protest because they respect Manchester United fans and their feelings.
Carrick added that he expects the supporters to keep giving the team the support required during football matches.
His words, “I don’t think it [the protest] connects with the two wins, to be honest.
I fully respect the supporters. I’m not offended by it or anything, and the players certainly aren’t.
Within the stadium, the support we’ve felt, and that’s been there for all the games that I’ve watched for quite some time, has been of the highest level and I’m sure it will continue to be like that.
The connection we’ve had over the last couple of weeks has been pretty special and we’ve both fed off that. That’s exactly how we wanted it to be and is something we need to keep building on moving forward.”

That triumph allowed the club to compete in the European Super Cup for the first time, where United beat European Cup holders Red Star Belgrade 1–0 at Old Trafford. The club appeared in two consecutive League Cup finals in 1991 and 1992 the left and the right, but he’s not got any sense of danger yet, and empties the midfield area too readily.
