According to him, it is always a spectacular feeling when a player gets compared to a star like Gerrard who was a world idol for so long before he retired.

Valverde added that he definitely sees the similarities between them but he wants to make his own name.

His words, “It’s spectacular when you are compared to such a player, to a star, a world idol, not just a Liverpool one. It’s amazing.”
