Tottenham manager, Ange Postecoglou has come out to say that he understands Tamworth’s replay frustration. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, even if he understands that Tamworth would have made a lot of money from a replay at Tottenham’s stadium, he also agrees with the idea of less games for the health of the footballers involved.

Ange added that credit to the Tamworth players for giving everything on the pitch in front of their home fans.
His words, “I get the sentiment but at the same time I have been banging on about less games so it is a balancing act. The way the calendar is at the moment it would be almost impossible for us to fit another game in. We are already struggling to fit it all in. I understand the sentiment around it and I certainly believe in the competition and what it does offer every part of the football pyramid and I think it should be protected.
Firstly credit to Tamworth, I thought they gave everything and gave a really good account of themselves. We knew it would be a challenging afternoon for us with the surface making it really difficult for us to play in the manner we wanted to.
It is easy to get frustrated on days like this but the lads kept their heads clear and calm and persisted and eventually overpowered them.
I’m sure all Tamworth will remember the day. As they should because their team played really well and we will remember it too because it’s a unique experience for us in terms of the kind of challenge we had today. I enjoyed it. It was a good day.”
On Mikey Moore, “Yeah brilliant, great to get him some game time. I think he’s itching to get back as well. He’s missed a fair bit of football. It just adds another attacking threat to us and I’m sure after today he’ll feel a lot better. As I said, I think he was a bit rusty at the start but he definitely grew into the game.”
WOW.
