Lyon forward, Memphis Depay has come out to say that he wants to play for the top teams in football. He recently revealed that he and fellow player, Aouar are completely focused on eventually playing for any of the top 3 clubs in the game.
According to him, even if Lyon is no small club in the game, no one can fault him and Aouar for aiming higher than the French club.
He added that it would mean everything to him if he wins the Ligue 1 title with Houssem Aouar, the team and the president.
His words, “We know we play for a very big club but we want to go to one of the top three clubs in the world,”
“Then you will see Houssem, he will get 10 times better. For me, it’s the same.”
“It would mean everything to me to win the Ligue 1 title with Houssem Aouar, the team and the president,”
Aouar added, “If this is the last season that I play with Memphis, of course I would be sad because he is a great player and I take enormous pleasure in playing with him.”
