Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag has come out to insist that he will decide the club’s captain next season. He recently revealed this to dismiss the idea of a squad vote as Harry Maguire is set to lose armband, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, he is not the type of manager that allows the dressing room to decide who they want their captain to be, so the decision will be up to him.

Erik added that the goalkeeping position is very key for every team, so he hopes the club will bring in a new goalie soon.
His words, “No, I don’t let the dressing room vote. It is up to me.”
On the goalkeeper plans, “Of course (it’s important to sign Onana quickly). Goalkeeper is a key position, but I am happy with the players we have now.”
On Henderson being number one, “Yes of course. I followed him through the season.”
