Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has come out to say he will keep playing Ander Herrera till the end of the season even if he is close to an exit from the club.
Sources have said that the midfielder is expected to leave on a free transfer in the summer and is close to committing to Paris Saint-Germain.
Ole said, “Maybe the future might have been worrying him and that’s part of the reason he’s injured,”
“Who knows? He doesn’t know.
“Hopefully he can be available for Chelsea or Manchester City but I’m not sure. He got another muscle injury.
“He loves to play and he’s not very happy when he can’t help his teammates. He is always giving his all, it doesn’t matter if it’s five weeks or five years on his contract.”
Herrera will miss West Ham’s visit to Old Trafford on Saturday along with Luke Shaw and Ashley Young, who are both suspended.
